The Russian soldiers were manufactured in the USA by Louis Marx & Co. Inc. and the original ones are copyrighted 1963 as shown by the stamp on the base below. The figures were produced in a lighter green coloured plastic.
The Russian figures were only sold in the USA and were not sold in the UK. They were never produced in the UK Marx Swansea factory possibly because Russian figures would not have had the appeal to children of the better known combatants during WW2.
